FROM MARCUS ELLIS
“I started GWAP because simply put, I’ve always had a passion to help others. My own life experiences led me to formalizing an organization that could be a vessel not just for me to serve, but to provide avenues for others to serve as well. More than anything GWAP started because I truly believe that it’s our assignment to help others. Never stay in a comfortable place just because you can. There’s far too much world to change.”
GWAP hosts an annual holiday party to collect the socks and underwear we distribute to homeless men in the district.
Marcus Ellis narrated a short-documentary about colon cancer to bring awareness to the community. This film is dedicated to his dad Martin D. Ellis.
