As shown above: Each winter Marcus Ellis and the GWAP team choose to sleep out overnight in solidarity with our homeless men. Understanding their experience only increases the motivation behind one of our core functions, which is providing Socks and Underwear for Homeless Men.
Our History
Giving with a Purpose was founded by Marcus Ellis in an effort to contribute to others. Since 2014, the organization has dedicated their time and resources to giving back to communities throughout Washington D.C and the surrounding areas. Our work reaches men, women and families through our programs. Our focus areas are charity, healthy living, financial literacy and individual empowerment.
The organization leads by organizing charitable drives, public awareness events and speaking engagements to invoke change in our communities.
